This week Eric Desmarais made history as the first Paramount Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu student travel abroad to compete in Europe. Head Instructor Brad Court has competed several times in Brazil, but not Europe. The IBJJF European Championships is the first leg of the “Grand Slam” events, up next is the Pan American Championships in California.

Eric won his first match by a score of 11-0, dominating his opponent in all areas of the fight. He lost in the next round when his opponent was able to pass the guard in the final minutes of what was an even match.
