This past weekend the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) held it’s inaugural Charlotte Open in North Carolina. Paramount BJJ brought a team of 7 and earned 6 medals. Check out the results below.
Head instructor Brad Court won Gold in his black belt division, winning his first match by submission and the second match by points.
Anthony Pacinelli took Silver in his weight class, then took home a Bronze medal from the Absolute division. With less than 6 months at purple belt, Anthony is off to a strong start.
Phil Mento earned Bronze in both his weight class and Absolute, after some grueling matches in an incredibly tough field of competitors.
Rob Cullen started the day with a fantastic collar choke from the back, and placed 3rd earning his first IBJJF medal. He also landed a fantastic drop seoi nage throw that will surely make the Top 5 highlight video at the end of the year.
