Four years ago Paramount BJJ did a Judo/Jiu-Jitsu demo for Kindercare as part of their celebration of the 2008 Olympics. Yesterday, we headed to Our Kids Academy in Exton, PA to do another demo for this year’s Olympics. 

We started by introducing ourselves and explaining the similarities between Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ actually began after Japanese Judo master Mitsuo Maeda relocated to Brazil). Then we demonstrated a throw and had the children practice throwing the assistants, Mr. Zach and Mr. Brett.

Afterwards, we showed some techniques on the ground and finished with a hilarious Q&A. Among the questions were “Does it hurt?” “How long are the matches?” and “Do you have any pets?”
