Men’s Blue Belt Absolute

Since the women’s white belt and men’s blue belt divisions are smaller than expected, the decision has been made to make both into a double-elimination tournament. That means if a competitor loses, he or she can bounce back and still win the Gold.
An Overview of the Rules
(We will go over them again before the start of the event at 11am)
- No time limit
- No points
- No neck cranks
- No heel hooks
- No toe holds or kneebars for white belts (OK for blue belts)
- No stalling
Penalties for stalling:
– Ref will warn you once
– Ref will stop and restart the match from the feet
– Ref will stop and restart the match with your opponent in dominant position- either mount or back, their choice.
Competitors: make sure you are in your gi and warmed up, ready to go, by 11am.
