Abu Dhabi Pro Trials Results

The Abu Dhabi Pro World Jiu-Jitsu Championships (ADCC) is coming up, so the trials are being held all over the world. Two weeks ago Brazil held their trials, and last weekend the US West Coast trials were held in Las Vegas. This weekend the US East coast trials were held in Jersey City, NJ and naturally Team Lloyd Irvin was there in full force.

At blue belt Pere Okette Briggs won the Open division and along with it a ticket to Abu Dhabi for the World Championships.

In the Brown/Black belt divisions (The ADCC tournament combines the belts), Team Lloyd irvin had 3 competitors. In the -74 Kilograms division Jonathan “JT” Torres submitted his first two opponents before losing 0-0 by advantage to Lepri in the finals. Brown belt Jimmy Harbison took the -83kg division by storm beating black belt legend and World Champion Roberto Traven before losing by Ref decision to Abmar Barbosa in the finals. In the -92kg division new brown belt Roberto Torralbas beat Neiman Gracie 20-0 before losing to black belt Fabio Holanda 2-0.
