The 2011 IBJJF European Championships is officially in the books and Team Lloyd Irvin did what no American team had ever done before.

The RESULTS:

Blue belt Tim Spriggs won Gold at his weight class and Silver in the Absolute. In Purple belt the standout was De’alonzio “DJ” Jackson, who won Middleweight and Absolute bringing home the doubel Gold. Willie Leonard took Gold at Superheavy and Silver at Absolute, while Jon Delbrugge and Jordan Sullivan took home Bronze medals. Sijara Eubanks brought home the Silver in the Womens Purple belt Absolute.

At Brown belt Roberto Torralbas took Bronze in his first tournament at the new belt, while Jimmy Harbison won Middleweight. Black belt Jonathan “JT” Torres beat 2 world class black belts before barely losing the Lucas Lepri. JT had submitted Lepri last time they met, but this time Lepri was able to edge him out by advantage.
