Tap Cancer Out is a Jiu-Jitsu based non-profit charity tournament which raises money for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. On Saturday they held their first tournament in PA at the USTC right here in Downingtown. Paramount BJJ brought 38 competitors to compete, and many more came to support the event.
We are working on putting together a full list of results for the kids (it’s tough with so many competitors!), but in the meantime here are some of the results for the adult divisions:
Melissa Landrum won Gold, while Cathryn Millares earned Bronze.
Hrithik Sangani competed in the adult division for the first time and took Gold.
Jacques McAllister earned Silver after 3 battles.
Justin Mazzi, the top fundraiser for the entire event, also took the top spot on the podium.
Brett Landrum won Gold after 3 hard-fought victories.
Zach Fahrenholtz returned to competition after several years and after 3 matches he earned a Silver medal.
Mike Hashem took Silver in his division.
Another Gold medal for Phil Mento.
Abi Durrant took Gold in her purple belt debut.
