Check out the results from the 2015 IBJJF New York Spring Open, which took place this past weekend. The 2-day event had gi and no-gi divisions, and Paramount brought a small team (most competitors opted instead to make the trip to Boston this coming weekend):
- Greg Hagner: Gold in Gi. Greg was in a round-robin division, so despite losing his first match he was able to win the second 7-0 and earn a rematch. He avenged his loss and won the Gold with a throw in the final.
- Anthony Pacinelli: Silver in Gi, Gold and Bronze in No-Gi. After losing in his weight class Anthony came back to earn Silver in the Absolute. In No-Gi he won Gold in heavyweight with a guillotine in the final, and Bronze in the Absolute after 3 matches.
- Abi Durrant: Silver in Gi. Abi lost in the weight class (0-0 by 1 adv.) but battled back in the Absolute. She fought 3 matches to win a well-deserved Silver medal.
